Pros:smart designwashableAussie designedtwin version availableCons:only gets used for 6 months or soDesign and FeaturesThe Milkbar is a little bean shaped pillow made to fit the contours of mum’s body. It's slightly elevated and wider at one end to accommodate your baby for feeding. It has a carry handle and you can buy extra pillow covers if needed. The cover is cotton and the pillow is filled with polyester filling. It’s non allergenic, odourless and comes in three colour combinations, brown/sand, pink/sand and blue/sand.It also comes in double trouble (twins) size which features an adjustable strap that goes around mum or dads waist to stabilise it and leave both arms free for feeding.Performance and DrawbacksThe Milkbar is designed to reduce stress on your neck, back and arms during feeding by bringing your baby to the boob rather than the other way around. It's just the right height for a comfy feed on most chairs; you can even get in a bit of one-handed (web) surfing and email-checking while feeding if you wish. That's multi-tasking for you!The elevated design is also great if you have a baby with reflux or other digestion problems as it lifts their head above their feet making them more comfortable feeding. The cushion is nice and long so you should get at least six-months' use from it. It fits snugly and comfortably around your middle and protects your stomach area after a cesarean section. It's well made and the cotton cover is nice, soft and cool in summer. The handle is nifty for carrying it around and/or hanging it out of the way.Don’t cry over spilt milk, both the pillow case and filling are washable.ConclusionUsing a pillow for feeding is an individual parent thing, some like it, others don’t. The Milkbar is well designed to suit its purpose.About MilkbarThe Milkbar feeding pillow is an Aussie mum invention and is produced and retailed by Aussie company, Fertile Mind

"My sister gave me a milkbar for
breast feeding and I love it! It is
so much easier to travel with.
I was wondering if I can buy another
one and have it sent over and also if
you sell the covers so I have a change?
" Here's the tip if you'd like to provide the ultimate gift at a Babyshower... a Milkbar. You'll be loved forever, or at least every feed time.
I received mine from a beloved friend ar my Babyshower and have never stopped thanking her.
It's seen me through two gorgeous bubs and still looks fresh.
As they say 'happy mum, happy baby' and in our house, during feed time at least, we're all smiling."
As seen on the Today Show on 10th August 2011 - a big thanks to physiotherapist Anna Louise Bouvier for recommending The Milkbar portable nursing pillow on the Today Show, as a way of helping reduce back pain and shoulder strain while breastfeeding. When feeding twins, secure the strap with clip behind your back and adjust to be firm but comfortable. Then lift your babies into position before sitting down to breastfeed. If you have help, we suggest sitting down with your Milkbar® Twin Nursing Pillow then ask your helper to pass your babies to you.
Can also be used for single feeding as shown above.
You can purchase an additional Milkbar® Twin Nursing Pillow Cover to assist with your laundry schedule.
CAUTION: The Milkbar® nursing pillow should only be used while in a sitting position, holding your baby at all times.
